Sobre mí
Por ahora, esta página solo está disponible en inglés.
I’m a research engineer working on machine learning and signal processing for music and audio. My engineering spans real-time audio software in C++, data pipelines, and taking models from experiment to production; my recent research is on detecting and quantifying AI-generated music.
I hold an MSc in Sound and Music Computing from the Music Technology Group at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, and a BSc in Electronics and Communications Engineering, specialising in acoustics, from Instituto Politécnico Nacional in Mexico City. I started as a software and data engineer in consultancy before moving into audio and music research.
Along the way:
- Sony CSL Paris, research scientist intern in 2026, on machine learning and signal processing for music and audio.
- Music Technology Group, UPF, research assistant on AI-generated music detection in real broadcast monitoring, in collaboration with BMAT Music Innovators. The work became two papers at ISMIR 2026, one as first author.
- Dolby Laboratories, software engineering intern, on C++ audio libraries, DSP pipelines and prototypes of ML-driven sound analysis.
- Ear Candy Technologies and the MTG, audio developer: plug-ins with JUCE, and lead of essentia-plugins, a real-time audio analysis toolkit.
- Globant and Everis, data engineering: ETL processes, databases, APIs, and ML models deployed to production.
- Community: speaker at the Audio Developer Conference 2024 on CI/CD for audio developers, and at the Audio Developer Meetup Berlin in 2026. Contributor to several initiatives of The Sound of AI with Valerio Velardo, and teaching assistant for the Generative Music AI workshop at the MTG.
I now work as an independent research engineer from Barcelona.
